About Me
I am a career patient living forward with chronic illnesses by the by the grace of my Savior, Jesus Christ.
With the loss of my second child in 1987, I believed I had endured all the heartache required in one lifetime. Two years later I was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes. I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder, Stiff Person Syndrome, in 1994. At 36, a prognosis of “Sudden Death” (respiratory arrest by torso spasm) was a considered prognosis. I joined the ranks of permanently disabled.
Being human, I asked, “Why me?” I prayed for physical healing. God continually heals my soul. Whispered prayers on my lips become whispered answers in my heart…in His time. God comforts me in sorrow and carries me when weary. Unexpected blessings enrich my life. I am never alone. I am His child.
I am blessed with a loving family. My interests are many and varied–whatever captures my attention at a given moment. Explore, endure, embrace, enjoy. Laugh, love, live.
In His love,
Debbie
