Tired And Troubled

“But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.”  2 Thessalonians 3:13

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.”  Psalms 37:1

I have a disabling neurological disorder.  To give purpose to my disability, I became actively involved in an Internet support group, spending hours dissecting medical information and candidly sharing personal experiences…my caring outreach.  Others’ pain, questions, and situations became a well-doing consumption for me.  Noble.

Immersed in ‘my’ well-doing, I was drowning in spiritual fatigue.   Anger, impatience, and frustration emerged in my failure to reach those who chose to remain distant and closed.   I gave my troubled soul a time-out in prayer, seeking God’s direction for my life.

Trust, do, dwell, and be fed.  I need to trust God’s lead in well-doing for my life.  God wants to dwell with me, feeding me through His word and leading me in prayer.  Dwelling with the Lord restores my tired soul for well-doing… His way.
