About Me

I am a career patient living forward with chronic illnesses by the grace of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

With the loss of my second child in 1987, I believed I had endured all the heartache required in one lifetime. Two years later, I was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes.  In 1994, I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder, Stiff Person Syndrome.  At 36, “Sudden Death” (respiratory arrest by torso spasm) was a considered prognosis. I joined the ranks of permanently disabled.

Being human I asked, “Why me?” I prayed for physical healing.  God continually heals my soul.  Whispered prayers on my lips become whispered answers in my heart – in His time.  God comforts me in sorrow and carries me when weary.  Unexpected blessings enrich my life.   I am never alone.  I am His child.

I am blessed with a loving family. My interests are many and varied – whatever captures my attention at a given moment. Explore, endure, embrace, enjoy. Laugh, love, live. 🙂

In His love,
Debbie
